Bird Vids

Had a look through the bird videos above. The talent of some of the birds is amazing! I showed some of the videos of cockatiels singing theme tunes to my bird and he was staring at them probably wondering "how the hell do you expect me to sing like THAT!".

Well, it's a good way to get him started! - Cockatiel owners should definitely check these videos out. It may give you ideas of theme tunes to try out on your own Tiels when you have the time!
There are also some videos of amazons, canaries, budgies, cockatoos, conures, finches, lovebirds, macaws, parakeets and quakers on youtube to have a look out for.

If I've missed out a bird please let me know so that I can add that to my list of birds to blog about!

Dont forget to check out the African Grey Videos aswell - these birds are like 4 year old Humans! Amazing!

Unusual Bird Habits!

If you've got a bird with unusual habits or know of any birds with unusual habits - lets here them!
I have a cockatiel called Strimmer who eats oranges like a machine, shreds anything green and likes to sleep on toast!
The longest I've ever kept a bird for is 10 years and that was the first ever bird I had (Kandy). He was a white canary that had an obsession with fingers and loved to sing his lungs out when in a good mood!

Ideas

Got any fab budget ideas for other bird owners? Lets hear them!
I personally get put off by the prices of bird toys. I'm always on the look out for new ideas that are cheaper to keep the thing entertained! My cockatiel is more fascinated by an empty biscuit tin left on the table than the bell I bought from the pet store!

I also found out that I can buy baby toys at a cheaper price than bird toys! What's up with this?!? Baby toys are better quality aswell!

About us (me)

Okay, so this is my 1st post so you’re probably thinking what’s the blog for?
Good question…Well, I’m a student (on a very long summer holiday at the moment) and a Bird Owner!
Apart from the fact that like any typical student, I got nothing better to do for the summer, I created this blog so that there’s something that focuses on the bird owner rather than the feathered bugger all the time!So if you’re a Bird Owner this is for you!
